Quaelinari [quell-in-ar-e]:
The Quaelinari, or Elves as they are more widely known, dwell in the golden forests of Jui-Rae. Jui-Rae is a land of glowing sunfire trees as majestic as the race themselves. Elves live in magnificent sunstone cities as well as quaint wood villages, but the beauties of their lands have been ravaged by an age old conflict called the Elf Wars. The Quaelinari have been at war with their mortal enemies, the Faelin, for over two millennia. The loosely held codes of war have been all that has prevented the Elves from complete destroying one another, but even those codes threaten to unravel as of late.

Red Blood [red-blud]: See Braznian

Riverfolk [ri-ver-folk]: See Valsharen

Ruksharden [ruk-shar-den]

Ruksharden are a tribe of fiercely stubborn men and the only western clan of humans who has refused to become a part of Doljinaar. Ruksharden skin has grown as hard as leather and their hair as gray as ash from living too many years in the Ruksharden Hills, otherwise known as the “Dying Lands”. The Dying Lands lie on the eaves of the Great Waste which was the Ruksharken’s ancestral homelands before the ancient plainlands were swallowed by the swirling desert.

Ruksharden are extremely hostile to both men and night mortals, but continue to elude Doljinaarian search parties by living in camps on the edges of the Great Waste. Ruksharden stubbornness has taken on legendary meaning, possibly even surpassing Dwarves. The tribes barely hang onto a strangled existence through their refusal to leave their lost lands. They hope one day that their god will return his favor to them and restore the beauty of their ancient plains.

Shamite [sha-mite]:
Shamites are a human clan of zealous traders from Old Shamaria who willingly submitted to Doljinaarian rule. Shamites are average height and build, pacifists with no appetite for war but hold a frightening amount of power out West. Shamites wear an access of jewelry, piercings and even sprinkle their blonde hair with gold dust to flaunt their wealth. They have weaseled their way into every western market, black market and even forbidden trade relations. Their stranglehold on Doljinaar’s economy holds to this day.

Sharlak [shar-luk]:
Much debate persists over whether Sharlak are a race of mortal cannibals. Not much is known about this amphibious race who dwells in the warm oceans, but all land-dwellers fear them.

Sharlak emerge out of the seas to drag land-dwellers back down into the depths and feast on their flesh. Sharlak feeding frenzies have given them such a bloodthirsty reputation that land-dwellers believe they could only be beasts. A few reports state that Sharlak have been seen ashore wearing clothing and using simple tools.

Syssrah [siss-rah]:
Syssrah have the upper body of a man and the lower body of a snake. Syssrah hail from the deserts of Syssrinya, a hot sandy waste, which hardly seems capable of supporting their rich culture. Syssrah have the most organized armies of the northern night kingdoms and the second largest navy in the world.

Syssrah are slippery traders that offer a wide array of exotic merchandise, strange beasts and slaves from far off lands. The Syssrah are perhaps concealing far more secrets than just the poisons at the tips of their spears.

Terramothian [tare-a-moth-e-an]
:

Terramothians are a large clan of hardy blonde humans who inhabit the Plains of Terramoth, which was named after them, but they lead simple hard-working lives as farmers, herdsmen and craftsmen. Terramothians treasure good honest hard work and despise greed and corruption. They prefer to trade in their old capital at Feltmore rather than deal with the corruption of other major metropolises. A good number of Terramothians have grown poor working off the land due to increasing aristocratic land grabs, leading them to despise politicians, Shamites and outsiders in general.

Thane [thane]
:

People have come to call Doljinaar’s royal line the Thanes, whose ancestory can be traced back to High King Doljinn himself. The Thanes can be identified by their solid glowing white eyes, which adds to the belief that they are gods incarnate.

Thanes also live up to a thousand years of age and are believed to ascend into full godhood when they die. The noteworthy kings and queens are worshiped as gods and goddesses. Great monuments and temples have been erected in their honor.

Trite [tryte]
:
Trites are a small fairy-like race greatly gifted in the ways of magic. Trites hail from the rain forests of Mizzle Drizzle, but have migrated to other small pockets of other wildernesses. Trites have wings, red hair and are known for laying pranks. They are often feared for their rash, reckless and childish use of the magic arts. They can shape-shift and wield the most dangerous form of Inertia Magic, which melds the contrasting energies of Life and Death, often with explosive results. Magic catastrophes have caused Trites to be shunned and largely distrusted in Doljinn society. Trites are all about fun and games, but when they threaten to use their Angry Magic, the wise go running for the hills.

Troll [troll]:
Trolls are a half-breed of man and Doelm. They are extremely rare to come by since Trolls are considered the most abominable crossbreed. A trollborn baby is usually put to death immediately after emerging from the womb by both races. As result, Trolls rarely grow to adulthood. Their heavy Doelmish brows and massive shoulders hunker down on their thinner human frames giving them a malformed appearance.

Warlord Lewd is one of the world's only living trolls and his shockingly charismatic flamboyance grates against his race's every stereotype and every Troll legend.

Trollbreed [troll-breed]:
The word Trollbreed is an extremely derogatory term used to describe a half-breed between a man and Doelm. However, the term is also applied by bloodline purists who believe there should be no interbreeding between any two races. The term is an insult usually applied to define any half-breed.

Tulestine [tul-es-teen]:
Tulestines, or “Tuls” for short, are a clan of hardened hillmen adept in the art of combat. They are masters of arms and some even shun weapons for martial arts. Tulestines have dark hair they braid into topknots to display their battle prowess until they are defeated or in some circles disgraced. The phrase, “Never tussle with a Tul’,” is muttered in countless taverns across Doljinaar. Doljinaar lost a devastating number of men taking the old Tulestine capital at Tulus in the Kingswar.
